Susanne Ritzmann

Susanne is a design researcher with a strong focus on concepts and strategies of sustainability. She studied design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle and at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and gained her diploma at the University of the Arts Berlin in Product and Process Design. Since 2014 Susanne is also a lecturer in design theory, design methods and design research, with teaching assignments at several design schools (UdK, HTW, HMKW).

Susanne is finishing her PhD at the University of the Arts Berlin on the relation of trash and design, inquiring on sustainability in design education. From 2012 to 2015 she held a doctoral scholarship of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).

At the Design Research Lab she is working in the project Bürger vernetzen Nachbarschaften (2016-2018, MBWSV) on digitalization, bottom up processes and policy making.
