Luis Colin-Malagon was born in the countryside of Mexico and grew up in the big and chaotic, but interesting Mexico City. He moved to Europe to join EIT ICT Labs Master School to study a double master degree in Human Computer Interaction & Design. He completed the first year at Paris-Sud University, and currently he is finishing his Master Studies at TU Berlin with the specialisation in Multimodal Interaction.
Previously, he was working as a Network Design Engineer for Ericsson, and Acoustics Engineer freelancing. He holds a degree in Communications and Electronics Engineer with a specialisation in Acoustics.
His main areas of interest are Design for Social Innovation & Sustainability, Urban Studies, UX and Interaction Design. He loves to think about how to use technology as a design medium to generate innovative ideas to improve human life.
He joined Design Research Lab in June 2014 to work in the Community Infrastructuring Research group.
